Information AccessPoint handles

AccessPoint handles the information needed to provide accounts and email-login discovery. This can include:

• Account information such as your email address, profile details, and verification state.
• Email addresses submitted for lookup, their domains, public DNS routing records, and the resulting provider matches or unresolved routing hosts.
• Technical and security information needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot failures.

How the information is used

Information is used to create and secure accounts, complete routing lookups, return possible login destinations, improve provider mappings, investigate incorrect results, and maintain the reliability of the service.

AccessPoint uses public routing information to make a navigation suggestion. It does not use a submitted address to access, authenticate with, or read a mailbox.

Storage and retention

Account records are retained while an account is active and as needed for legitimate operational, security, and legal purposes. Lookup information, including submitted addresses associated with unresolved routing hosts, may be retained to improve provider mappings and investigate incorrect results.

Information is deleted, anonymized, or no longer actively used when it is no longer reasonably needed for those purposes, subject to technical and legal requirements.

Service providers and disclosures

AccessPoint may use infrastructure, database, email-delivery, security, and hosting providers to operate the service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service and its users, or as part of a business reorganization.

Your choices

You can update available profile information through your account. Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of certain personal information.

Third-party destinations

Lookup results can link to websites operated by email providers or other third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one. Review the destination before providing credentials or personal information.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when the current version was published.
